Feedback from our Staff:

Mrs. Mimi Pines

Aim habayis

My role in Panim Meiros is as a lead mechanaches, which entails helping students and guiding staff members. Girls all have a personal mechanaches, and every mechanaches has a mentor. It is this kind of environment that makes every girl feel accepted. This makes Panim Meiros such a wonderful place to be, as a student and a staff. The mission of Panim Meiros was to create a nurturing and unjudgmental environment in which students can grow.

Now 20 girls united by their desire to grow and staff united by their dedication to enable growth are turning a vision to a reality. The שעורים and lessons are focused on the girls’ needs. Extracurricular and inspirational programs complement and provide a healthy balance. The Sem is there to support the girls in reaching their personal goals and it is common to find girls engaged in discussions with רבנים and staff. Girls feel safe to share and ask for help. Sem's atmosphere is relaxed and accepting and this can be felt upon entering the building.

On a personal note I find our girls to be real with no need for pretense. Their courage to explore and do inner work is something that I greatly admire in them. Their care to each other is genuine בבחינת איש לרעהו יעזורו ולאחיו יאמר חזק. I feel honoured to be part of this vision and I wish you dear students and dedicated staff

My experience as a staff member who has been involved with the Seminary from its inception, working with the girls and staff members along with the administrative department, I can vouch for the fact, that every member of the team always works for the best interests of the girls. With everyone devoted to the students' best interests, from the, governors administrators, rabbonim, teachers, madrichot, etc.  every parent can feel confident sending their daughters here, and every girl feels safe and well taken care of.

In the short time the seminary has been open I feel that it’s
greatest virtue is that it has proved to a place that genuinely reflects it’s name Panim meiros- shining faces’ !
The girls are happy and content, their smiling faces say it all! The atmosphere is
charged with positive energy, the location set away from the hustle and bustle, serves
the purpose of creating a real family-like experience, one of a kind!
However the real secret of the success of the Seminary are the ‘shining faces’ of the
incredibly dedicated team of machanchos teachers and mentors.
Who shine their light on each one of the students, caring for each one in such a
dedicated way.
It’s a place where every girl feels cared for, supported and loved.
It’s a place where every girl can express themselves in their way and be nurtured to
bring out their unique potential.
It’s a place where every girl is given the opportunity to shine in her own individual
way.
In a very open way students are encouraged to express themselves freely and to ask
any questions that might be on their mind with regard to any area of Yiddishkeit and
life.

It’s a privilege and honour to be part of this special Moisad - I connect mainly on a Thursday evening for the 'leil shishi' program. This program is designed to be an informal way to connect and inspire the girls. Each week we have a new theme and meaningful activity which has a practical message that the girls can take with them. Our activities consist of Challah bakes, Karaoke night, discussions over hot cholent, candle lit kumzitz and much more.

Secondly as teachers and parents, we are constantly looking for ways to draw in our teens and build their confidence. From my personal experience, I saw that learning to play guitar was a successful way in making headway in these areas. At times where no formal class or inspiration can penetrate, giving a student a musical instrument can transform the student. After being a guitar teacher for almost 5 years, I currently run guitar sessions at Panim Meiros that are upbeat, fun, and imbued with warmth and I look forward to further helping to make Panim meiros a space where girls can continue to strive. Each time I enter the premises of Panim Meiros, I feel like I am stepping into an institution that is safe haven for girls to grow spiritually and emotionally. Not only is the premises warm and inviting, but the atmosphere is what truly makes the Seminary unique, with an aura of Achdus and every girl truly looking out for each other. The staff have created a tone that is accepting and positive, which gives the girls opportunity to want to strive in their Yiddihkeit and make the right choices.

coordinator

I have joined the Panim Meiros staff as a Chol coordinater. In my heart, I have a great
love for people, which is why it's so special to me that Panim Meiros is like one warm
family . There are a number of academic courses offered in this sem, such as A levels
etc as well as vocational courses such as beauty and photography. In this way, the
girls will be able to select a course that will best meet their interests, making it
possible for them to leave with a strong sense of self-worth, a strong career direction,
and options to advance in their studies. A number of our girls are considering careers
in midwifery, beauty, media, health and fitness...etc

Panim Meiros is an unique seminary, where girls get to take a break from the
distractions of life in a beautiful countryside location. The students are happy here;
the atmosphere is one of a close knit family where each person is looked at as an
individual and encouraged to grow in their own way. As night madrichot, we love to
engage with the girls and see them growing into the best versions of themselves.

Teacher and supervisor

As we collectively and personally journey through this dark time in our story as the am
hanetzach, there is a small building over in Sowerby Bridge which is filling our world
with light, with quite literally, 'Panim Meiros'- 'shining faces'. Our new seminary is
bursting with warmth, kindness, openness and a loving space for the students to
explore, and travel together with the dedicated staff, on this journey called 'life'.
On a personal note, it is nothing short of a privilege to be involved here. The girls have incredible depth, huge hearts and they sincerely have a deep desire to understand, reveal and build the best versions of themselves. Be'H, as we enter into Kislev, I am very much looking forward to the next few months up ahead filled with laughter, learning and connection- with ourselves, others and the
Master of the World!

Enrolling In this Seminary as a Fitness instructor and Shabbos volunteer has been an amazing experience, exceeding all expectations! The genuine care the Rabbonim and teachers invest in each student is outstanding. The students, a blend of talent and enthusiasm create an atmosphere of joy and Achdus!

Nature Trip Guide

The outdoors is one of my favorite places to be, and I love discovering new places. To be able to take the girls into nature is a huge privilege for me. It is incredible to see the joy on their faces and how their ability to walk is strengthened as they explore the outdoors. There is no doubt that this group is one of my favourites, which is why I love taking them.
Prior to taking the girls, I explore the area and figure out the best route to take. There are times when I have to go to a place a few times, in order for it to be ready for a group. I need to take into account many things..such as safety, distance, length, how to get there and make sure it's interesting enough.
In the beautiful world Hashem created for us, being out in nature offers so many
benefits. It is extremely beneficial for our mental and physical health and the girls are so fortunate to get this opportunity weekly.

Mrs Adina Strom

Mechaneches

The subject I teach is contemporary issues, and so far, we have covered feminism in Judaism and the importance of our role as women. I appreciate the fact that the shiurim and curriculum are so relevant to our life today. I am also a Machnaches, so as part of my role I have Sunday morning breakfast with the girls, which is a beautiful breakfast ( even better than the fancy daily spread ), eating and chatting together in a relaxed environment In this way, the week gets off to a fresh start. Additionally, each machaneches has a few girls she meets every Sunday who she takes under her wing, which she keeps in touch with throughout the week. Having a point of contact gives each girl a sense of belonging as well as ensures they are well cared for.
